The "Gingery Furnace" in my own fashion. I decided to make a gingery lathe some time ago, and set about the oddesy of the "Beercan Lathe"
Now beercanium is a difficult item to find, so I set about to create my own.
Here's the trashcan furnace. It is an old military trashcan (steel) with clay/sand dug up outta the back yard (5 gallon bucket's worth) mixed with a 20 lb bag of thinset mortar mix (for tile.. it's what I had) the furnace has lasted for 3 years now. I cut 3 inches off the top and stuck some stock fence in the goo to help hold the top together.
the furnace went through several air supply's till I came up with this
here's my stash of beercanium ingots, waiting to become parts
We need brass for the bushings, so here they are (brass ingots)
