Ok Lawren no problem I try my best to explain how i made it.

This is made from left over piece that I had or my grandfather had laying around. The large bolts and nuts.

This first pic its the pieces.

Next one is the base piece.I used some scrap plate . I find a piece of pipe that looked about the right size. I found a big bolt and nut the looked right and long enought. Drilled the same size in the pipe of the bolt. The little piece of metal that on the bolt is a spacer. The base is screwed down with deck screws .

The bolt has a piece of round stock welded on for simple use. the bolt goes like this.

Next I used square tubing. Drilled a hole the same size of the bolt that I threaded the nut all the way down the threads then Spot welded the corners of the nut to the tubing. The used screwed the bolt the finished welding the nut. Then i welded another piece of round stock on this bolt.

I then found a piece of scrap leaf spring , Drilled a hole the same size of the bolt i showed on the first pic. then welded the nut to it . then welded the  leaf spring on to the square tubing

It goes together like this , you can tighten the bolt at any postion to sand the handle of the blade.

Next you can use pieces of wood blocks. I am useing the stuff that lawren sent me and i can not spell but the stuff they use for wetsuits.

I slide the block all the way and then tighten the bolts up.I sand the handle back and forth. Like polishing your shoes
