These fabricated hollow bit tongs are short handled with the knifemaker in mind. It has a generous mouth which is -ideal- for handling those pesky railroad spikes. If you have ever tried to make a spike knife, you know well the difficulty in getting a grip on them. These short handled tongs are ideal for the knifemaker working such a spike and also for holding round and square stock. Comes set to hold 3/4 stock. Has a light coat of primer to contain the ugly!
